Christopher DeGroff, Owner
Chris has been in the medical sales industry for 15 years, with his roots as a sales director for orthopedic supplies. He received his Bachelor's degree from Oakland University in Health, Wellness and Injury Prevention, and his certification as an Orthotic Fitter from St. Petersburg College. He has been trained and certified as a service technician by Golden Technologies for service and repair on lift chairs, scooters, and power wheelchairs. Chris' mission for MI MED is to provide the highest quality of customer service while offering the most affordable prices.
Melissa DeGroff, Operations Director
Melissa received a Bachelor's degree from Eastern Michigan University and a Master's of Social Work from Wayne State University. She began her career as a traveling medical social worker before joining the family business. Melissa has also been raised in the medical supplies industry and specializes in incontinence supplies. Melissa's unique experiences as a medical social worker allows her to provide additional assistance and guidance to customers and family members facing obstacles regarding medical care.
Joseph Dolder, Senior Associate
Joe began his career as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with the Lake Orion Fire Department, before spending several years as a professional driver. He has been trained and certified as a service technician by Golden Technologies for service and repair on lift chairs, scooters, and power wheelchairs. Joe strives to provide the highest quality of service to his customers during sales, deliveries and service calls.
Ashleigh Bonnell, Administrative Expediter
Ashleigh was the first staff member to join the MI MED team and works directly with our owner, Chris, to ensure that operations, sales and service are running smoothly. Ashleigh has been an expert in the customer service field for nearly ten years and these skills are invaluable to our team and our customers.
Sarah Szymczyk, OTA
Sarah received her degree as an Occupational Therapist Assistant and has worked for several years in senior living facilities and homecare. She offers free in-home assessments for accessibility and safety, and her expertise allows her to help customers identify the appropriate equipment for their mobility and safety needs.
